Leave one bare ground wire long, and snip the rest to 6 in. beyond the box. Push the long wire through the hole in the top of the special green wire connector and connect the remaining wires to it by twisting the connector clockwise until it’s tight. Fold the ground wires neatly into the back of the box (Photo 11).
If you see a loose wire, reconnect it after first turning off the breaker that controls the circuit. If a light won't go on, try replacing the bulb. Remove the switch cover and look for loose wiring. Finally, remove the light fixture and inspect the wiring. Be sure the switch is off when you do this.

Touch one test probe from the multimeter to the hot wire terminal on the circuit breaker that leads to the appliance in the house. Place the other probe on the respective neutral wire that leads back to the circuit breaker panel from the appliance.
